Assemblyman Lemondes: New York Can’t Neglect Agriculture for Solar Farms

Earlier this week, New York decided to deny a rehearing request for the Garnet solar energy facility coming to the Town of Conquest.

Assemblyman John Lemondes says that, while green energy is a good thing, New York can’t neglect agriculture and food production.

 

Garnet Energy is expected to build a 200 megawatt solar farm on roughly 1,900 acres of land in the northern Cayuga County town later this year.
