Teens Arrested After Assault Outside The Newark Library

A fight over a vape pipe led to an attack on a teenager in Newark.

The attack outside the Newark library last Thursday was record and posted on social media.

Two teens are seen taking a vape pipe from another teen, then making him do push-ups to get it back. Suddenly, the victim is punched in the head and then kicked while on the ground. The victim underwent surgery for a broken nose.

The two attackers, who went into the library after the attack, have been charged with felony assault. Their case has been sent to Family Court because of their ages.

The library is working to maintain a safe space for all patrons.
