The U.S. Geological Survey says an earthquake struck at 6:15 this morning outside of Buffalo. The quake was centered in West Seneca, NY.

The closest earthquakes ever recorded to the City of Buffalo, according to USGS records, were a magnitude 3 in the Town of Tonawanda in May 1995, and a magnitude 2.3 that occurred under Lake Erie west of Blasdell in July 2007.
No reports yet of any damage.
