County Administrator: Yates Public Health Would Benefit From New Multi-Use Building

Yates County residents will have a chance Wednesday night to learn more and discuss with county officials the new proposed building for the Highway, Emergency Services, and Public Health Departments. The Public Health Department would use the building off Route 14A for mass vaccinations. County Administrator Nonie Flynn says during COVID, the Health Department had to rent the former Gordmans building at the Lake Street Plaza in order to conduct vaccination clinics.

Nonie says Public Health will be able to use the facility for more than its typical clinics as well.

Wednesday’s hour-long meeting will start at six at the current Highway Department building in Benton Center.
