Yates County History Center Receives Grant Funding

The Yates County History Center has received a $2,500 grant from the Rochester Area Community Foundation’s Yates Community Endowment.

This grant will support supplies, utilities, and educational programming for the History Center.

The Yates County History Center has a mission to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Yates County and operates the L. Caroline Underwood Museum, the Oliver House, and the Scherer Carriage House, which contains the permanent exhibit on the Public Universal Friend.

The History Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a suggested donation of $5 for admission. For information, call (315) 536-7318, email [email protected], or visit yatespast.org.
