The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing the retirement of Corrections Officer Pamela “Pam” Whitford following 28 years of full-time service.

Officials say Whitford has been a member of the Sheriff’s Office since 1997 and has worked in the Corrections Division throughout her career. She is credited by colleagues with bringing a positive attitude and strong work ethic to the job over nearly three decades.

While Whitford is retiring from full-time service, the Sheriff’s Office says she plans to return in the new year to continue working part-time in Corrections.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked Whitford for her years of service and dedication to Yates County and its residents.
