The Yates County Sheriff’s Department says Swarthout Road, between Feagle and Hewett in the town of Torrey is closed today. That closure is expected to last a few days. The boating ban on Keuka Lake has been lifted, but the Sheriff’s Department urges caution and reminds boaters to limit their wakes. Parts of Yates County and the Southern Tier were hit by heavy, flooding rains about a week ago.
