A one-car accident that injured two children remains under investigation in Yates County.

51-year-old Tracey Irwin was driving west on State Route 364 when she drove off the north side of the road and struck a mailbox. Her car then traveled up an embankment before coming back into the road.

A nine-year-old was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a complaint of head and neck pain and a seven-year-old was taken to the same hospital for chest pain.

The sheriff’s department says Irwin was not injured in the accident and charges are pending the completion of their investigation.
