Two Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputies were commended by the Legislature’s Public Safety and Corrections Committee for their swift response during an early morning tractor-trailer rollover accident on an Interstate 86 overpass last month.

Deputies Brian Harrison and Ryan Andrews were commended for their work which prevented catastrophic complications as well as saved a life. When Deputies Harrison and Andrews arrived on the scene of the March 4th crash, Sheriff Jim Allard said they quickly assessed the scene and began calling for resources to stabilize the tractor-trailer and extract the driver. Sheriff Allard said both deputies worked efficiently and effectively with responding Fire and EMS agencies to avoid a tragedy.
