A pastor at a Steuben County church will spend the next six months in Schuyler County Jail following his conviction in Schuyler County Court earlier this year on a felony incest charge.

In addition to time behind bars, 56-year-old Nathan Cooper, of Campbell, was also sentenced by Schuyler County Judge Matthew Hayden to 10 years of probation. Cooper was also deemed a sex offender for registration purposes. A hearing will be held next month to determine his sex offender level.

The case was prosecuted by Schuyler County District Attorney Joseph G. Fazzary.
