Life-saving actions performed by one Steuben County Deputy Sheriff earlier this year received special recognition at this week’s meeting of the County Legislature’s Public Safety and Corrections Committee.

According to the attending paramedic, in late January, Deputy Robinson’s swift and decisive actions undoubtedly saved the life of a young woman, who in his opinion would not have survived had the Deputy acted as he did.

Sheriff Jim Allard also commended Robinson for his professionalism, leadership, and service.

“Not only did you respond and provide life-saving treatment, but also effectively managed a chaotic scene while assisting responding EMS units, saving at least one life,” he said. “Thank you for your professionalism, integrity, leadership and service.”
