A Rochester man will spend the next five years in state prison after pleading guilty in Schuyler County Court to a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
The case against Jason Boswell began last September when he led police on a chase through the towns of Orange and Tyrone before spike strips were deployed. After his car became disabled, the 41-year-old Boswell took off on foot and was eventually taken into custody with the help of K9 Deputy Digit.
Following his arrest, a warrant was executed on Boswell’s car and police found a loaded handgun inside that he possessed illegally.
In addition to the prison sentence, Boswell also received five years of probation by Judge Matthew Hayden
