Schuyler County will soon have a new Public Defender.
After a resolution was passed in a committee meeting last week, the Legislature will vote in October on appointing Josette Colon as the county’s next public defender. Colon is currently the Chief Assistant Public Defender in Chemung County.
If approved by the full legislature in October, Colon will make an annual salary of 118-THOUSAND dollars.
