The Penn Yan Memorial Day parade will line up at 9:30 on Monday morning at the Community Center on North Main Street. The parade will step off at 10:00 and proceed down North Main Street to the Old Court House courtyard. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 in the Old Court House courtyard.
At the conclusion of the Memorial Day parade and speeches, a ceremony will be held to unveil and dedicate a new historic marker at Courthouse Park in the village of Penn Yan. The blue and yellow marker will honor veterans of all wars from Yates County. It was funded by the “We Are Dwyer” veterans organization.
