The village of Penn Yan has been certified as a Pro-Housing Community by New York State.
By adopting this designation, the village commits to streamlining permits for multifamily, affordable, accessible, and supportive housing units. It also pledges to implement policies that promote fair housing and address regional housing needs.
With this certification, Penn Yan becomes eligible to apply for discretionary funding programs, with up to $650 million available to support housing initiatives.
