After Thursday’s official grand opening, Montour Falls is officially home to the Justice Center of the Southern Tier.
According to its Mission statement, the Justice Center envisions a community of victims and service providers working together in a safe environment that is free from coercion and fear. It is a place where victims can come for education, opportunity, and comprehensive and integrated services in the pursuit of justice, hope, and healing.
Schuyler County District Attorney Joseph Fazzary described the Center on West Main Street as a place that is “welcoming to people who have had their lives disrupted and sometimes destroyed by the senseless criminal behavior of others.”
The Center offers criminal justice advocacy, case management, counseling services, law enforcement availability, a civil legal network, and compensation claims.
