A familiar face will soon return to the halls of Dundee Central School District in a new role.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Nick Fultz, a 2013 graduate of Dundee Central School District, has completed an 80-hour D.A.R.E. instructor training course at the Montour Falls Fire Academy and will begin serving as the district’s School Resource Officer this fall. In the role, Fultz will teach the D.A.R.E. program, working with students on ways to avoid drugs and alcohol and make safe, responsible choices. He replaces current School Resource Officer Rick Simpson, who is retiring.

Fultz started his career with the Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher.  He then graduated from the Police Training Academy at the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy in October 2023.
