Deputy Clerk Linehan Announces Bid for Yates County Clerk

Yates County Deputy Clerk Molly Linehan announced her intent to run for the County Clerk’s position on Friday.

A Republican and Yates County resident, Linehan has served as the Deputy Clerk under Hall since 2016. Prior to being appointed by Hall, Linehan was in the Yates County District Attorney’s office and also worked for a private practice attorney handling real estate matters for over eight years.

“Through working with the residents and businesses of Yates County as Deputy County Clerk, and with the various local and supreme & county courts, county, town and village offices, I have gained the valuable experience necessary to serve as the County Clerk”, Linehan said. “Hard work and continued excellent customer service are what I strive to continue to provide to meet the needs of our residents and the county.”

Linehan has lived in the Village of Penn Yan since 2004. She currently serves on the Town of Milo Republican committee. Linehan is also a member of the Penn Yan Lions, Penn Yan Elks and Seneca Lake Duck Hunters clubs and SCOPE. She lives with her two daughters, Meaghan and Morgen and her fiancé, Jeff Hulse.
