CCE Schuyler Taps New Executive Director

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County has appointed a long-time employee as its new Executive Director.
“On behalf of the CCE Board of Directors,  I am pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa (Mel) Schroeder as our next Executive Director. Mel has over 20 years of experience with the Association and has consistently demonstrated her passion and commitment to the mission and programs of the Association.” Chad Hendrickson, CCE Board President.
As her role at CCE Schuyler expands, Schroeder said she is eager to explore new opportunities with Schuyler’s key stakeholders — particularly the Schuyler County Farm Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce, along with working with the community, including members of the legislature and the CCESC Board of Directors. Mel adds that she also “look[s] forward to following the strong mentors that I have had throughout the years, providing mentoring for our staff and sharing in the connection and opportunities with campus collaborations and county connections.”
Mel will also continue to serve as Issue Lead for CCE Schuyler which includes the management and stewardship of 4-H Youth Development, Hidden Valley 4-H Camp, 21st Century Afterschool programs, and Parenting Education projects.
