A donation of $3,000 was recently made to the Penn Yan American Legion’s scholarship fund.
The donation was made to the Johnson-Costello Post by former Yates County Veterans Services Agency Director Phil Rouin, in memory of his mother, Martha.
A veteran of World War II, Martha Rouin passed away earlier on Memorial Day this year at the age of 103.
