Watkins Glen Residents Asked to Weigh In on Local Law Changes

Microphones on stands are set up for a public forum or performance in the Finger Lakes region.

Residents in the Village of Watkins Glen will have a chance to speak up about several proposed local law changes this month.

The Board of Trustees is holding a public hearing on March 17 at 5 p.m. at the Village Hall on North Franklin Street to gather feedback on updates to local laws covering code enforcement, administrative warrants, sewer use, vendors and solicitors, fireworks displays, and the use of fire pits. Each proposal would replace the village’s current rules.

Residents can review the proposed laws at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular business hours or online on the village website. Written comments may also be submitted to the Village Clerk at 303 North Franklin Street, Watkins Glen, 14891, prior to the hearing.
