Warming Centers and Other Storm Related Information for the Finger Lakes

Dry Ice Update:

Dry ice and bottled water are being distributed in Schuyler and Yates counties to residents in need. Below are the locations and times for distribution:

Tyrone Fire Station, 3600 NY-226 Tyrone – 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Burdett Fire Station, 4124 Lake Ave., Burdett – 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Penn Yan Little League Park, 360 Elm St., Penn Yan – 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Clifton Springs Firehouse, 39 Kendall Street, Clifton Springs from 4 pm to 8 pm or until supplies last.

From the town of Jerusalem in Yates County:

Do not operate your sewer grinder pump with a portable generator. The homeowner is responsible for damage to the sewer grinder pump if operated by a portable generator. Also, limit your water usage.

If you are without power and need a place to warm up, you can go to one of the following locations listed below:

Yates County:

Dundee Central School, 55 Water St., Dundee – Opening at 11 a.m

Ontario County:

Phelps Library, 8 Banta St., Phelps – Open until 8 p.m. Thursday

Clifton Springs Library, 4 Railroad Avenue, Clifton Springs – Open until 7 p.m.

Schuyler County:

Burdett Fire Station, 4124 Lake Avenue, Burdett – opening at 9:30 Thursday AM ( Warming station, coffee, bathrooms, showers, charge electronics.)

Seneca County:

Canoga Fire Department, 3576 Route 89, Seneca Falls, 13148 – Canoga FD has chairs, tables, some blankets, bottled water, coffee (always has a fresh pot of coffee!), a few snacks/cookies they keep on hand, and a full kitchen facility.

Cayuga County:

Sennett Town Hall will be serving as a Warming Station for all Town of Sennett residents in need until power is restored. A warm meal will be served at no charge from noon to 1:30 pm on Thursday for residents in need. Please call 315-253-3712 ext. 1 with any questions or needs.
