Yates County saw a near double-digit growth in its local sales tax collections in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same three months the year before.
Sales tax collected in the first quarter of the year for Yates County was $4.42 million, up 9.9 percent from the $4.02 million collected in 2024. Schuyler County’s collections increased by 7.8 percent from $3 million to $3.24 million.
