A Wolcott woman is facing charges after fleeing from law enforcement Saturday afternoon in a stolen vehicle.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports going to the Walgreens on Whiskey Hill Rd after a car was reported stolen from the parking lot. While en route, deputies spotted Chyenne Gonyeau driving the stolen car on Route 104 in the Town of Huron.

Deputies tried to pull the 25-year-old over but she refused, leading them on a chase through Huron, Sodus, and Williamson. Gonyeau was eventually stopped after stop sticks were deployed.

Gonyeau was charged with Grand Larceny, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, and several traffic tickets. Following arraignment, she was released on appearance tickets.
