A member of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has resigned after being arrested following an alleged domestic incident in which the victim suffered significant injuries.
The alleged incident happened on June 8th at the Woodhill Apartments in Newark. Scott Smith, Junior, is accused of assaulting a woman by kicking her in the head and face. Smith was charged with assault.
13 WHAM reports Smith was suspended following his arrest and resigned after he was questioned about the incident.
