A Wayne County mother and daughter are both hospitalized after being involved in a two-car accident Tuesday afternoon on State Route 104 in Sodus.

65-year-old June Seiler, of Williamson, was driving west when she rear-ended the car in front of her, causing heavy damage to both. Seiler and her mother, 87-year-old Martha White, also of Williamson, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Police say one of the women was listed in stable condition and the other is in critical condition but did not clarify specifics.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Wayne County ALS/BLS, Wallington Fire Department and Marion-East Williamson Fire Department.
