A Wayne County man has been sentenced after robbing an Ontario gun store.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an intruder at East Side Traders in Ontario on October 7, 2023.
An investigation revealed that 23-year-old Lucas Burke of Wolcott smashed a window near the building’s entrance just before 5:00a. Once inside, he attempted to steal three rifles but was only successful in stealing one.
For the theft, Burke was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison.
