Two Waterloo water storage towers are going to disappear.

The village is advertising for bids to demolish the towers on Reed Street and East Wright Ave. Both towers were built in the 1940s.

The village has built a new storage tank on North Road with a capacity of 1 million gallons of water. The new tower meets the village’s storage water pressure needs, plus sends water down Burgess Road and to the towns of Junius and Tyre, including to the del Lago Resort & Casino in Tyre.
