A Waterloo man is facing charges in Steuben County after allegedly shattering a glass door and breaking into the Bath Ambulance building.

When police arrived on scene shortly before three Wednesday morning they found all ambulance personnel had safely evacuated the building and 38-year-old James Dyer hanging out of a second-floor bathroom window. Dyer reportedly denied police instructions to go back inside the building and instead made his way to the roof of the building. With help from the fire department, Dyer was safely escorted off the roof of the building.

Dyer was charged with felony criminal mischief and burglary.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
