After months of renovations, a Waterloo hotel and bar will reopen on Wednesday.

In November 2023, the former Holiday Inn/Quality Inn was rebranded to The Lux Hotel & Conference Center. After $2.3 million in renovations, The Lux features 147 rooms, Woody’s Bar and Grille, 9,000 square feet of banquet/meeting space, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.

“This renovation has given the property much needed improvements for guest and staff experiences here on property” says General Manager, Victor Nelson. Many in the community still regard the hotel and conference center from it’s days as a Holiday Inn / Quality Inn.

Presented by the Lux and the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, a ribbon cutting will be held at 3:00p followed by property tours, and refreshments until 6:00p.
