Firefighters from Newark Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Tuesday afternoon on Hydesville Road.
Crews were dispatched just after 5 after the driver of a flatbed tow truck reported that an SUV he was transporting began smoking while in transit. Authorities say the driver quickly unloaded the vehicle from the flatbed and called 911. Firefighters arrived on scene to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
