A Wednesday night police pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Williamson sent one trooper and one civilian to the hospital after a car crash.

According to State Police, they were assisting the Palmyra Police Department with the pursuit just before midnight on Tuckahoe Road.  When a southbound trooper crossed the intersection with State Route 104, the vehicle collided with an uninvolved eastbound vehicle. The pursuit ended on Ridge Road when the stolen vehicle was stopped and the driver was taken into custody by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Both the trooper and the driver were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
