Late October is when the joint trial for two Seneca County residents accused of sexually abusing a child will take place.

The April 2022 arrests of Angila Burnett of Romulus and Craig Kaufman of Seneca Falls followed a three month investigation into the abuse of a child under the age of 11 by the Seneca Falls Police Department.

The Finger Lakes Times reports the most serious charge the couple face is felony predatory sexual assault against a child, which could land them in prison for life if convicted.

Their trial is set to begin October 30th.
