Three people were able to escape without injury a house fire in Hopewell Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters from Hopewell, Canandaigua, Manchester, Clifton Springs and East Bloomfield responded to 2295 State Route 21 at 2 o’clock and were able to contain the fire within the single residence. Due to the damage, the home was deemed to be uninhabitable by Code Enforcement.
A portion of the road was closed between County Road 19 and State Route 488 for about 90 minutes.
East Bloomfield Ambulance also responded to the scene.
