State Police Are Warning Wayne County Residents About Phone Scam

State Police are warning residents about a possible telephone scam targeting residents in Wayne County.

Troopers said they have been contacted by residents claiming they are getting calls from individuals claiming to be affiliated with a union supporting the New York State Police and asking for donations and credit card numbers.

State Police remind residents of New York State, that the Division of State Police or any union affiliated with the New York State Police does not call and ask for donations.
