The call went out just before 9-this morning for a fire behind Walmart on Routes 5 & 20 in Geneva.
Before the White Springs Fire Department could get the trucks out of the firehouse, the reports came back to “stand down” as the fire was just a controlled burn well behind the store.
The flames and smoke shooting to the sky did attract may people watching from the Walmart parking lot.
