The Seneca Falls School District is mourning the sudden loss of one of its employees.
Mary Ouderkirk passed away Friday at the age of 59. Ouderkirk was a third-grade teacher at Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary School. In a statement, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reed called Ouderkirk’s death ” a tremendous loss” for the school.
Visitation for Mary Ouderkirk will be held Wednesday from 4 until 6 at White Church in Elbridge, where a funeral service will be held at 6.
The school district is providing additional resources for students and staff to help cope with the loss.
