The trial of two local men charged with murder in the 2022 shooting death of a former Waterloo resident in the town of Waterloo was adjourned Monday, the same day jury selection was set to begin.
Seneca County District Attorney Mark Sinkiewicz told the Finger Lakes Times the delay is the result of some additional discovery both the prosecution and defense received last week.
Wayne Ellison, Junior, of Waterloo, and Christopher Kesterson, of Phelps, face charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of Texas resident William Waugh at a home on Route 96 in the town of Waterloo.
A new trial date was not announced.
