A request for proposals was made in November by the Seneca County Board of Supervisors for professional assistance with creating a housing strategy. Chairman Mike Enslow said the county is trying to deal with a housing crisis that he declared back in August of 2023.

The Board of Supervisors chose a firm out of Bath, Maine, that they feel will best serve Seneca County in developing a Comprehensive Housing Strategy.  They will pay the firm $100,000.
