Representatives from nearly every fire department in Seneca County joined Congresswoman Claudia Tenney for a roundtable event on Thursday to discuss new OSHA regulations for firefighters.

Back in February, OSHA introduced a new health and safety standard, proposing 22 additional rules for fire departments. Tenney claims these new rules will burden rural volunteer departments, leading to their closure.

Tenney had previously sent a letter to Assistant Secretary of Labor Douglas Parker urging OSHA to reevaluate the rules.
