Seneca County Corrections Officer Injured by Inmate

A Seneca County Jail inmate is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a corrections officer.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 30-year old Daniel Bailey punched a Corrections Sergeant in the face Thursday and spat blood at him.

The officer was taken to Geneva General Hospital for his injuries.

Bailey was charged with assault and harassment of an employee by an inmate, both felonies.
