There will be no negotiations today or this weekend on the already late New York State budget. State Senator Pam Helming said she and some of her colleagues were prepared to stay in Albany to try and get the deal done but the Democratic majorities had different plans.

Senator Helming believes they have a ways to go before a budget is passed.

The latest a state budget passed came in 2004 when it was 133 days late.
