Romulus School Board Vote Ends in a Tie; Run-Off Election Planned

There is a tie for the third open seat on the Romulus School Board of Education.

Following Tuesday’s Board of Education voting, Caroline Hamelin and Alicia Rath each received 76 votes. The tie will generate a run-off election which will happen before July 1st. The district is consulting with its general counsel as to the specific timeline and requirements for the election.
