A Rochester man is facing more than 150 years in prison following his conviction on 81 charges linked to a months-long, multi-agency investigation in Ontario County.

The case began in August 2024 after Geneva residents reported concerns about suspected drug activity affecting the community’s quality of life. Geneva Police Chief Ronald Eveland said these tips led authorities to Boswell, expanding the probe into a collaborative effort involving the Ontario County DA’s Office, ATF, Geneva Police Department, New York State Police, and the sheriff’s departments of Ontario and Seneca counties. Authorities identified Ronnie “Spaz” Boswell Jr. as the source of the drugs.

Prosecutors say undercover officers purchased drugs and firearms from Boswell between October 2024 and January 2025, culminating in his arrest during a buy-bust operation. During that operation, Boswell allegedly sold 200 fentanyl pills, a semi-automatic rifle, and ammunition to officers.

Further investigation led authorities to recover 2,600 fentanyl pills, 14 firearms—including five illegal assault weapons—and 13 high-capacity magazines, according to the Ontario County District Attorney’s Office.

Bowell is set to be sentenced on January 8th.
