Police: Wayne County Man Assaults Neighbor With Baseball Bat

Police have arrested a Wayne County man for allegedly assaulting his upstairs neighbor with a baseball bat for making too much noise.

The Thursday afternoon incident on Arrowbend Drive in Williamson resulted in 67-year-old Willie Pitts being charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was taken to the hospital for a cut to his forehead.

Pitts was turned over to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
