A teenager from Waterloo has been arrested for allegedly lying about being kidnapped last month in Ontario County.
On October 18th, Jasmine Brewer reported to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office she was kidnapped and forcefully grabbed into a car in the town of Hopewell on October 15th. An investigation revealed the 18-year-old willingly entered the car and was not kidnapped.
Brewer was charged with perjury, falsely reporting an incident, and making a punishable false written statement. She was released on an appearance ticket for Canandaigua City Court.
