Several pets were lost but no people were hurt after a Wednesday morning house fire in the Town of Rose.
According to the Clyde-Galen Fire District, multiple departments responded to the scene for the report of a structure fire with one person still inside, trying to get pets out of the bedroom that was on fire.
Once crews arrived, they fought the blaze, attacking it from the inside. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
All people were able to make it out of the residence safely; however, some pets did not. The building also suffered extensive damage.
