UPDATE: Dog Left Lying Roadside In Phelps Dies

UPDATE-From the Director of the Ontario County Humane Society, William Martin:

It is with great sadness that we report that this dog has succumbed to his condition.  He failed to respond to any treatments after being transported to the veterinarians office on 6/1/23.

In addition, both offices continue to follow up on incoming leads and this investigation remains active.  We continue to thank the public for your generosity and assistance in this incident.”

The Ontario County Humane Society is asking for your help to track down the owner of a dog who was found emaciated and wrapped in a blanket lying on the side of Stryker Road in Phelps at 8:30 Thursday morning.

The mixed-breed male was taken to a local vet and is in critical condition. The dog has black and brown brindle markings and was wearing a blue collar.
