Ovid Big M Sold

For the first time in almost 54 years, the Ovid Big M has new owners.

The McKee family announced on Facebook Monday they have sold the supermarket to Scott and Jake Hermann. This is the brothers’ third store they have partnered on and they say it will mean increased buying power and better deals for customers as well as increased benefits and opportunities for employees. The Hermann’s own Heerema’s Food Market in Irondequoit and the Seneca Knolls Big M in Syracuse.

Sue Cirencione purchased the supermarket from her father, Jim McKee ran the Big M from 1970 to 2014.
