An inmate at the Ontario County Jail is facing an assault charge after an investigation into a Monday incident.
The Sheriff’s Office alleges 31-year old Daniel Sims engaged in a physical confrontation with another inmate causing physical injury to that person. He was arrested Thursday and remained in the jail’s custody.
Sims will appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date to answer the charge against him.
